Assembly Technician


Job Type:​ Full-time

Position Summary:

We are seeking Assembly Technicians who are interested in working in the manufacturing automotive industry assembling buses.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Sales Director with preparing and organizing sales paperwork and related documentation.

  • Collect quotes from Vendors for special equipment.

  • Maintains CRM database.

  • Provide bi-monthly production reports for our dealer network.

  • Addresses basic inquiries regarding vehicle features, specifications, and availability.

  • Provide support for the processing of state procurements.

  • Assist in the inspection of completed buses.

  • Prepare post-delivery Buy America compliance reports.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • More than 3 years of Job-related experience.

  • Experience with automotive repair and knowledge of automotive systems is a plus.

  • Must successfully pass a Mechanical Reasoning Test.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to trouble shoot issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Familiarity with operating tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Ability to read and write clearly in English.

 

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
Work Schedule: 10 Hour days, Monday – Thursday, 6:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M.

Electrical Engineer

Position Summary:

Frontrunner Bus Group is a rapidly growing Mini Bus Manufacturing company located in Billerica MA. Frontrunner Bus Group is currently looking for a full-time Electrical Engineer to work on the Frontrunner Mini Bus Project. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, this person should be a quick learner and be ready to ensure the efficient operation of the facility. The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for electrical design work, planning, organizing, and successful installation of all electrical/electronic components in the buses. The Electrical Engineer will have responsibility for providing engineering support to the production, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service Support. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for creating as-built wiring schematics for all the different contract buses. The Electrical Engineer must have experience with using CAD software (Solidworks or AutoCAD) to generate wiring schematics and design ideas for product improvement.

 

Job Duties:

  • Ensure compliance for all the Electrical harness design and installations.

  • Provide engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service Support.

  • Create as-built wiring schematics to supply the Buses using CAD software (Solidworks or AutoCAD.)

  • Interact with vendors and customers on design-related issues.

  • Develop and maintain work instructions for the low-floor bus assembly for production.

  • Optimize manufacturing processes and participate in troubleshooting production-related problems.

  • Provide recommendations about how to improve production methods.

  • Teaching production staff how to perform specific tasks.

  • Analyzing issues to determine how to correct them.

  • Participate in the meeting for new bids and provide supporting engineering documents during the bid submission.

  • Ensures compliance with FMVSS/CMVSS and any other applicable regulatory standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

  • At least five years of work experience, preferably in the automotive environment

  • Experience with CAD design software, Solidworks or AutoCAD is a must

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Operational Excellence (OPEX) Manager

Description Summary:

The OPEX Manager is responsible for leading the quality, continuous improvement, safety, and process engineering activities. The position will work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure world class performance is achieved in all areas of the business.

Reporting:

The Quality and Warehouse Materials Teams will report to the OPEX Manager who will report to the COO. The OPEX Manager will be dotted line to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Materials and Quality daily SQDCI process.

  • Ensure planners plan the availability of assigned items to support the company’s customer service and inventory turn objectives.

  • Direct, lead, and guide all OpEx initiatives.

  • Work with management to develop strategies to ensure ongoing education of all employees in OpEx initiatives.

  • Analyze and develop recommendations to update the manufacturing facilities’ implementation plans.

  • Facilitate robust manufacturing process at supplier locations by developing training modules and hands-on implementation.

  • Facilitate multiple team Kaizen events.

  • Facilitate Value Analysis events at each of the Segment’s locations and within each product category.

  • Track productivity performance (major projects) by location and product category.

  • Provide documentation of results and benefits achieved.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience on cost out projects.

  • Strong English leadership and results oriented skills.

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • More than 5 year's job-related experience.

  • Extensive experience in new product development or new product introduction, preferably in the field of Turbo machinery, including Engineering Management experience.

  • Demonstrated change management experience, and the proven ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve measurable results.

  • Fluent in the Spanish language is required.
